Your shoulders are a really small muscle while your chest is a large one. You should be able to lift more weight with your chest than your shoulders.

It really depends on what you are training for.

Some people find that they can only make their shoulders grow with really massive weight, while their chest responds really easily. Another problem can be that massive pecs can make the rest of your torso look ordinary, so that extra focus needs to be given to the shoulder to correct the imbalance.

The fact that you are wondering about the difference may be an indication that you should do more shoulder work; you didn't explain why your attention has been mainly on pec development.

As well as resistance work, some gentle progressive shoulder flexibility may be worth pursuing. A lot of people restrict the lifting ability of their shoulders by working the muscle right at the extreme limit of their range-of-motion. These people are noticeable because of their body position during a military press. In order to let their chest 'help out' with the weight, they hyperextend at the lumbar spine so that their back is extremely arched.

The Pacers have bigger physical players to dominate the paint. And the Pacers also are better at shooting the 3's. In order for the Heat to win they have to get down the court and to the basket before the Pacers set up their defense or they are at a major disadvantage.

Your body gets adjusted to routine. You have to switch it up and allow yourself to have cheat days. I will diet hard for a week and lose 5 lbs. then take the weekend off or a whole week if I need to. Which I don't go over board and gain a bunch of weight. I still keep track of what I'm eating. Then I go back into my diet and it usually starts up again. If it doesn't I know to take a step up in my work out and push a little harder.

No matter how healthy you eat or how hard you work out. If you allow your body to adjust to routine then you won't lose any more weight. Change it up.

Use a calorie calc and find out how many calories you should be getting to lose weight. If you're overeating then you'll gain/maintain weight regardless of exercise.

It sounds like you have put on some muscle. Benching 300 is pretty impressive. Muscle weighs more than fat. If you want to cut down more then you need to really tighten up your diet. Im talking clean foods. Single ingredient foods. Whats in salmon? Salmon. Whats in broccoli? Broccoli. Get my drift? Keep your workouts intense, you can do some cardio but dont skip on the weight lifting all together. With just cardio you will be skinny fat, but with some weight lifting you will look nice and toned. You will get there. Anything is possible. Keep working hard.

Do it they way it is comfortable for your forearms. Your triceps and chest muscles will get hit hard either way!
